Gadhafi's son released after more than 5 years of detention
Seif al-Islam, the child and one-time beneficiary evident recently Libyan despot Moammar Gadhafi, has been discharged after over five years in detainment, his captors said on Saturday.
An announcement by his captors, the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Battalion, said Seif al-Islam was discharged on Friday, yet gave no subtle elements on his whereabouts.
Unit authorities come to by The Associated Press at Zintan, a town south of the capital Tripoli where it is based, affirmed his discharge. They declined to uncover his whereabouts, refering to worries over his wellbeing.
They said his discharge was chosen as a major aspect of a current acquit issued by the Libyan parliament situated in the nation's eastern area.
The parliament in the city of Tobruk is a piece of one of three adversary organizations in Libya, proof of the turmoil that has won in the nation since Gadhafi's ouster and passing.
